  9. You know, football manager games are a curious breed of games, they 
  10. can sometimes be very dodgy.  On the opther hand they are very 
  11. popular among the gaming freaks out there.

  13. This particular game is quite good.  There are a few noticable 
  14. differences from the Amiga version but still I dived further into the
  15. game.

  17. The game is extremely well presented, this is the game's secret.  In 
  18. the demo version, you start as Brighton, oh yeah, brilliant, they 
  19. really want you to do well.  But in the full version you have the 
  20. choice of five division.

  22. You have a budget to stick to and the accountant will let you know 
  23. when a loan is needed.  You can buy and sell players as any manager
  24. would.  You have to train the players and give them more money when 
  25. their agents get ont you back.  During matches you have some degree 
  26. of control over the players whether it be in their position or if you
  27. decide they are not playing to standard, subsitution is an option.

  29. There is teletext so you can keep up to date on other games and 
  30. leagues, a fax to buy players, a telephone to rig matches and the 
  31. chairman may want to see you now and again.

  33. On the down side of the game, the music is dreadful.  It sounds like 
  34. something from you grandmother's Des O' Conner greatest (s)hits.

  36. There are a few alternatives to Ultimate Soccer Manager but it is 
  37. still worth a look to see what you think.
